Why Electric Bicycle Motor

In the simplest terms, the motor makes every ride as easy as you want it to be. Want to start exercising and pedaling? Go for it; you can pedal an e-bike just like a conventional bike.

But if you want to look (and smell) fresh on the way to work, start your engine and coast right away. Want to mix it up and do some pedaling, but say hell to the hills? During any given ride, you can switch the power you want at any given time.

Motors give you the maximum flexibility in how you can get to your destination. All of our bikes have pedal assist and are powered by an electric motor. How much help you need is up to you.

Hub drive vs mid-drive motor?

When you're shopping for a bike, you're likely to come across two types of motors - hub-drive motors and mid-drive motors. The main difference between the two is where they are located. The hub-drive motor is centered on the front or rear of the bike, while the mid-drive motor is centered on the bike, hidden inside the bottom bracket.

Generally speaking, mid-drive motors feel the most like conventional bikes, and those who want ultra-high performance tend to prefer bikes equipped with them.

Hub motors are generally less complicated and less expensive, as are the bikes that use them. They offer an easier and more cost-effective option if the majority of your riding will be on city streets rather than highways. They are also generally better suited for many miles at higher speeds.
